John is a USA Hockey Level 5 Master coach. 2020/2021 will be his 6th season behind the Angels bench. Kopperud grew up playing, and then coaching, in the small northeastern North Dakota town of Grafton, which is 10 miles from Canada and 30 miles from Minnesota. As a coach, Kopperud has 6 CAHA state championships, 2 trips to the national quarterfinals, and one national championship.
John resides in Denver with his wife, Rebecca and two children. Claire is a Sophomore at CU (Go Buffs!) and Matthew is a freshman at Arizona State University (Go Sun Devils!). John is broker/owner of Kopperud Real Estate, a small residential, multi-family, and management real estate firm.
Ben is a current level-3 USA Hockey Certified Coach and enters his 4th season behind the Denver East Angels bench as an Assistant Coach. Coach Robinson attended the Business of Hockey Institute (BHI) and received the Certified Hockey Professional (CHP) Designation in 2019. Ben obtained his undergraduate degree in business from the University of Denver in 2009. Ben grew up in Colorado and played his youth hockey with both Aspen Junior Hockey and the Colorado Springs Amateur Hockey Association. As a player, Ben won a Colorado High School State Championship with the Cheyenne Mountain Indians in 2004 (CHSAA), while serving as assistant captain. Ben played college hockey at the University of Denver on the ACHA club team.
Ben is the Owner and Founder of Blue Line Sports Management, a full-service hockey management firm based in Denver. He serves as a player agent to professional hockey players and consults with amateur hockey players pursuing the junior and NCAA hockey routes. Ben is a current member agent of the Professional Hockey Players Association (PHPA) and the Sports Lawyers Association (SLA). The game and business of hockey is his true passion. Outside of hockey, Ben’s hobbies include the outdoors, camping, skiing, hiking and real estate.
Jeremiah has 14 years’ experience coaching at the AA and AAA levels and is entering his 3rd year coaching at Denver East. He played Ivy League/ECAC hockey at Dartmouth College, earned the honor of All-Academic All-Ivy, Dartmouth Male Scholar Athlete Award as a senior and was All-State and Conference scoring champion in Minnesota High School hockey.
Jeremiah is a Portfolio Manager at Janus Henderson Balanced and Growth Income Strategies, where he has worked for 22 years. He lives in Denver with his wife Julie and their two children. They have a son entering his senior year at Denver East and a daughter that attends Hill Middle School.
